QUINTA DA VINHA<\/strong><\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n Located in the Demarcated Region of VINHOS Verdes, in the district of Porto, municipality of Penafiel, parish of URR\u00d4, \u201cQuinta da Vinha\u201d has existed for more than 250 years and wine production has always been its main activity.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n Having passed through several families over the years, \u201cQuinta da Vinha\u201d<\/strong><\/em> was acquired in September 1970, by Mr. Antonino Raul da Silva Ferreira and his wife D.\u00aa Jacinta Maria Moura da Silva.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n From the date of its acquisition, Mr. Antonino and D.\u00aa Jacinta worked hard on modernizing the vineyards and improving the quality of the wines until May 15, 2011, the date on which Mr. Antonino passed away unexpectedly. .<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n After this tragic moment, their children, Francisco, Godofredo and Aldina, decide to continue the work of their parents and make the wines produced at \u201cQuinta da Vinha\u201d<\/strong><\/em> a reference of quality based on all the knowledge transmitted from Fathers to Children mixed with the new knowledge acquired in the meantime. \u201cQuinta da Vinha\u201d<\/strong><\/em> continues to focus on modernizing the winery, improving the quality of the grapes produced, focusing on typical grape varieties of the region, as well as increasing the vineyard area.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n Currently, \u201cQuinta da Vinha\u201d<\/strong> \u00a0<\/em>has a vineyard area of \u200b\u200baround 12 hectares which results in an average annual production of 120,000 bottles of wine, distributed as follows: 86,000 of White Vinho Verde, 16,000 of Red Vinho Verde (Vinho Verde variety) , 14,000 of Vinho Verde Ros\u00e9 (Espadeiro variety) and 4,000 Vinho Verde White (Alvarinho variety).<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n Wines from \u201cQuinta da Vinha\u201d<\/strong><\/em> are sold on the market under the brand \u201cCesto de Pedra\u201d<\/strong><\/em> and under the brand \u201cGUILHURRO\u201d<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n Our wines are sold predominantly in the Portuguese market, but since 2019 we have started selling to Brazil and Germany, which has been growing every year.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n At Quinta da Vinha<\/strong><\/em> only grape varieties typical of the Vinhos Verdes Demarcated Region are planted.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n At Quinta da Vinha only grape varieties typical of the Vinhos Verdes Demarcated Region are planted….<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n – White Green Wine <\/strong><\/em>\u2013 this wine is produced with a mixture of grape varieties (Loureiro, Arinto, Trajadura, Azal).<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n – White Green Wine Loureiro\/Trajadura<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 this wine is produced exclusively with grapes from the Loureiro and Trajadura varieties.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n – Red Green Wine <\/strong><\/em>\u2013 this wine is produced exclusively with Vinh\u00e3o grapes.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n – Green Wine Ros\u00e9<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 this wine is produced exclusively with Vinh\u00e3o grapes.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n – Green Wine Espadeiro<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 this wine is produced exclusively with grapes from the Espadeiro variety.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n – Green Wine<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Alvarinho<\/em><\/strong> – this wine is produced exclusively with Alvarinho grapes.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n This is a family business, for this reason, all the work carried out in the vineyards, as well as the work carried out in the winery, such as reception of the grapes, press service, decantations, fermentation control and organization of the cellar, is all carried out by family.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n The harvest is manual, carried out by the family, including the grandchildren of Mr. Antonino and D.\u00aa Jacinta, joined by friends and neighbors.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n
